Connection details
Use the public IP, SSH port, username, and authentication method shown for your service. The common SSH port is 22, but your server may use another port.
Verify the host
On first connection, compare the host-key fingerprint with a trusted value when one is available. A changed fingerprint can be expected after an OS reinstall, but it can also indicate the wrong host. Stop and verify before accepting an unexpected change.
Safer access
Prefer a unique SSH key protected by a passphrase. Keep one tested recovery session open while changing SSH or firewall settings. Do not send passwords or private keys in tickets or AI chat. Use the protected, time-limited connection form only when approving a reviewed server task.
